Social & Environmental Impact
At Social Delivery, we believe there is enough surplus to bridge the gap between abundance and those in need. Managing surplus creates social and environmental opportunities, enabling organizations to maximize their budgets and advance their goals, ultimately creating a positive social impact. Through our redistribution of surplus equipment and products from businesses to social organizations, essential resources are redirected toward developing diverse areas connected to these organizations' core work. Redirecting surplus goods to social use prevents unnecessary landfill waste and extends product lifespans, effectively reducing carbon emissions. Our circular economy model focuses on reuse, upcycling, and repair, generating a meaningful environmental impact by keeping resources in circulation for longer.
Shafririm School for Special Needs, Emek Hefer
Shafririm School, which serves special education students from all over Israel, contacted us with an urgent need for equipment and furniture. The school had just received a new building to replace its outdated and deteriorating facilities, but it lacked the necessary resources to create a comfortable and supportive environment for its students.
At the same time, the high-tech company JFrog approached Social Delivery following their office relocation, offering to donate their surplus furniture and office equipment. Our team quickly mobilized a group of volunteers, including dedicated parents from Shafririm School, to facilitate the transfer.
Thanks to the swift collaboration, the school was fully equipped and ready to welcome students within a week. The money saved by receiving donated furniture and equipment was redirected to enhance tutoring programs and increase support staff, directly benefiting the special education students.
Amidar Public Housing Network for Seniors
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Social Delivery received many requests for assistance. One especially moving request came from the Amidar public housing network, which supports elderly residents and new immigrants from the former Soviet Union who live alone. Strict lockdowns left these seniors isolated in their rooms, unable to interact with others or connect to the outside world. To combat loneliness and help residents stay informed, Amidar's management requested televisions as vital tools for receiving updates and news and for alleviating feelings of isolatio.
Just as this request arrived, the Dan Hotels chain reached out to donate televisionsit was replacing during hotel renovations. Social Delivery swiftly coordinated the collection and, on the very same day, delivered and installed the televisions in Amidar’s assisted living facilities. This immediate action brought information entertainment, and a sense of connection to the isolated elderly residents.
Elifelet Association
Citizens for Refugee Children
Social Delivery was approached by the Elifelet Association, an organization dedicated to supporting around 1,000 refugee children nationwide. Elifelet relies heavily on volunteer efforts and donations to provide essential care and services for these children.
As part of an effort to improve efficiency and collaboration, Elifelet moved to new offices shared with other social sector nonprofits. They turned to Social Delivery for assistance in furnishing the space to foster a productive and supportive working environment for all organizations involved.
Our team coordinated the delivery of surplus furniture and equipment, generously donated by companies such as Edwards, PayPal, Kornit, Strauss, Bank Leumi, and the Arison Group, from our logistics center directly to Elifelet's new offices.The equipment enabled Elifelet to furnish its new offices, supporting collaborative work that benefits the community.
